Key Responsibilities / Work Context:

-  The successful candidate must be fluent in spoken & written English in order to serve an English-Canadian & U.S. client base. French-language skills are also an asset for communication with local sub-suppliers & other contacts. Other languages an asset.

-  As a boutique technology firm, all personnel are involved in the design and realization of projects. Project development includes the iteration of: mechanical equipment layouts in 2D or 3D, process calculations, P&IDs, field wiring & wire weight diagrams, project-tailored specifications, technical proposal & submittal documents, and project close-out documents including O&M manuals. The project management position requires presence in Claro’s Montreal office. We provide on-the-job training for these items including periodic on-site/hands-on reviews of equipment functioning in the field within Canada. The candidate will have the opportunity to be exposed to all aspects of project design and delivery in a collaborative & welcoming environment. The successful candidate will often work in close contact with experienced design engineering staff.

-  The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent skills in the area of project management. Project management responsibilities include preparation of project-specific materials as outlined above and communication with Claro’s manufacturer representatives, sub-suppliers, logistics providers and municipal client 3rd-party consulting engineers.

-  Project execution to be timely, on-budget, well-organized, and client-focused in a manner that assures client satisfaction and a high quality of project implementation. New projects originate almost entirely from client and consulting engineer returning business & referrals.

-  Successful candidate will often work in close contact with experienced design engineering staff.  As suggested above, Claro will provide training.


Qualifications/Skills:

-  Project management/engineering experience

-  Education: Minimum bachelor degree or similar technical degree/certification

-  Technical background / experience in the area of mechanical and/or environmental engineering

-  Strong French & English oral & written communication skills required

-  Attention to detail and the demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team environment

Principales responsabilités / Contexte de travail :

Le développement du projet comprend l'itération de : dispositions d'équipements mécaniques en 2D ou 3D, calculs de processus, P&ID, schémas de câblage et de grosseurs des fils sur le terrain, spécifications adaptées au projet, propositions techniques et documents de soumission, et documents de clôture de projet, y compris les manuels d'exploitation et d'entretien. Le poste de gestion de projet nécessite une présence au bureau de Claro à Montréal. Nous offrons une formation en cours d'emploi pour ces éléments, y compris des visites périodiques sur place ou pratiques de l'équipement fonctionnant sur le terrain au Canada.
