Position Summary: Herzing College invites applications for full-time faculty positions at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor within our Cybersecurity Bachelor’s Degree Program. These positions will be based at our Toronto campus, with the initial teaching duties delivered online. As a member of our faculty, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of cybersecurity professionals through high-quality instruction, research, and service.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver undergraduate courses in Cybersecurity and related areas.
- Engage in scholarly research, with the opportunity to secure external funding.
- Participate in curriculum development and innovative teaching practices, including online and blended learning.
- Contribute to service activities within the college and the broader academic community.
- Mentor and advise students, fostering their academic and professional growth.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Requirements:
- A PhD or doctorate in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
- A proven record of excellence in teaching, particularly at the undergraduate level.
- Demonstrated potential for establishing a successful research programme in cybersecurity or related areas.
- Experience with online learning systems, preferably Moodle.
- Relevant professional certifications in cybersecurity (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH).
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in integrating technology into instruction and the ability to contribute to distance learning initiatives.
- A track record of securing research funding and publishing in high-impact venues.
- Active involvement in professional organisations and contribution to the academic community.
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in teaching, research, and service.
Appointment Terms: This is a full-time, tenure-track position with an anticipated start date to be determined upon hiring. The position offers competitive salary and benefits, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
