Our client is looking to recruit an Operations Manager.


This is a Manufacturing business unit, and the Operations Manager will be responsible for smooth operation of all of company’s operations (Purchasing, Inventory, Shipping and Receiving). Creating action plans to meet growth initiatives, the Operations Manager will strive to streamline the operations to improve customer experience. Reporting directly to the Canadian President, this role will be located at Boisbriand plant but also service all 4 Service Locations in Canada (Montreal, Mississauga, Vancouver, Calgary).


You will possess:

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering with Member in good standing of the Ordre des Ingenieurs du Quebec


  • 5-6 years in Management in an industrial or manufacturing environment.


  • In-Depth knowledge of supply chain management, engineering team management or technical trades management. Ideal candidate would have combined experience in all 3.


  • Experience in systems integration involving rotating machinery (Pumping equipment)


  • Travel across Canada – 10% - 15%


  • Mandatory French and English.


How we see this role?

  • Working with Management, participate in company’s vision, strategic action plan in order to achieve growth objectives.


  • Lead Engineering, systems assembly, Supply Chain (purchasing and inventory, shipping and receiving teams). Coach and support supervisors.

  • Conduct clear objectives for teams as it relates to strategic objectives. Working closely with supervisors, implementing action plans to ensure achievement of objectives.


  • Manage all human resources, financial and material resources of the Systems Department to ensure the quality, cost and deadline control, competitiveness and growth of our vacuum systems and compressor offering. All this while respecting the company's policies and values.


  • Manage all supply chain operations (purchasing, inventory, shipping and receiving) for all company business units (distribution, service and systems) to ensure smooth logistics processes and low purchasing and operating costs, as well as adequate inventory levels to ensure both growth and profitability.


  • The company is planning to expand its Boisbriand plant by 2025-2026, the main objective being to support the growth of the systems manufacturing department. In collaboration with the General Manager, the Operations Manager will be responsible for the internal project management of this expansion.
