Job Title: Sales/Estimator (Manufacturing Architectural Stairs)


We are seeking a dynamic Sales/Estimator to join our team in a manufacturing architectural setting, specializing in the creation of elite, one-of-a-kind stairs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing accurate cost estimates for the development, production, and design of stairs, as well as generating timely quotes to secure bids on projects. Collaboration with project managers, ownership, designers, architects, contractors and clients is crucial, along with diligent research on pricing from various suppliers, vendors, and contractors.


Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Generate cost estimates for the development, production, and design of elite architectural stairs.
  • Provide accurate and timely quotes to secure bids on projects.
  • Present job take-offs in an organized and fluid manner to stakeholders and the team.
  • Collaborate with project managers, ownership, design team, architects, and contractors to ensure project success.
  • Conduct thorough research on pricing for various components (steel/metal, wood) from suppliers, vendors, and contractors.
  • Ability to communicate and follow up with clients on a regular basis.
  • Ability to cold call to gain new clientele.


Skills necessary for the job:

  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Proficiency in critical thinking
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings.
  • Capability to work effectively under pressure with a composed temperament.
  • Persistence in obtaining the necessary information for accurate cost estimates.
  • Experience with Bluebeam or comparable software systems.


Qualifications:

  • Proficient in word processing, Excel spreadsheets, and estimating software.
  • Ability to read architectural drawings/plans.
  • Experience in developing cost estimates.
  • Effective time management and multitasking abilities
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Willingness to accept and implement constructive feedback.
  • Experience in the construction and/or manufacturing industry, particularly working with metal/steel and wood.


Education or Training in related fields: Architecture, Engineering, Construction, Manufacturing.


The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the sales and estimating team through activities such as cold calling, email campaigns, sales and lead follow-up, and scheduling facility tours/meetings. This individual must exhibit precision in calculations, excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. They should demonstrate an understanding of customer concerns and be capable of creating accurate estimates tailored to clients' needs.
