Job Title: Android Developer

Location: Dallas, Texas (Remote to relocation in 1 month)


Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Android developer to join our dynamic team. As an Android developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality mobile applications for the Android platform. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features, while ensuring the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Work with external data sources and APIs.
  • Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
  • Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.
  • Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
  • Stay up-to-date with new trends, technologies, and best practices in the Android development community.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience in Android app development, with at least [X years] of experience.
  • Proficiency in Java or Kotlin programming languages.
  • Strong understanding of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.
  • Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services.
  • Experience with third-party libraries and APIs.
  • Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with agile development methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Android Jetpack components.
  • Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications.
  • Experience with continuous integration and deployment tools.
  • Published one or more applications on the Google Play Store.
