Our client is looking for a Business Intelligence Report Developer for a long term contract position. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in SQL, Power BI, Tableau and Azure. Key Responsibilities:


  • Builds complex SQL queries, reports(SSRS/Power BI), and dashboards (Power BI)
  • to meet business needs.
  • Design, develops and implements BI solutions using technology best practices, guidelines, and repeatable processes.
  • Create visually appealing and informative reports where accuracy/quality is upheld,
  • and performance is optimized.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather required reporting and dashboard requirements to meet business needs.
  • Translate business requirements to design, develop, and implement reports and dashboards that utilize the underlying data store(s), data lakes/warehouses, data mart(s).
  • Assesses reporting needs; provides recommendations for enhanced solutions and matches needs to Reporting tools and capabilities.
  • Provide documentation on technical requirements, user procedures, and data flow
  • diagrams.
  • Analyze, test, and resolve any deficiencies or problems/errors in reports/dashboards to ensure the reports/dashboards will perform error free when promoted to production.
  • Develop Power Apps that complement the front-end design of reporting.
  • Assist with monitoring of ETL jobs and troubleshoot as needed.
  • Assist with Azure data-mart structure creation based off reporting requirements.
  • Apply up-to-date and emerging trends in report design.
  • Learns, tests, and provides proof of concept for new technologies, techniques and software tools as required by the business.
  • Provide support as required to ensure the availability and performance of
  • developed reports and dashboards for both external and internal users.
  • Provide technical assistance and cross-training to other team members.
  • Provide training and assistance to users for generation of ad hoc reports.


Key Skills and Experience:


  • Minimum 5 to 6 years in databases, programming/coding and report/dashboard
  • development
  • Diploma in Computer Science or Information Technology degree or similar. A University degree in the same field would be preferred.
  • Strong focus on report writing.
  • Demonstrated experience with BI tools (Power BI)
  • Strong database and programming skills with advanced knowledge and demonstrated proficiency in the following:
  • MS SQL Server-and writing complex SQL queries.
  • Focus on report writing and dashboard development.
  • Business Intelligence tools(Power BI)
  • MS Excel (including macros – Visual Basic for Application).
  • Knowledge with Adobe Acrobat
  • intermediate/advanced skills in Data Warehouse and Business Intelligent
  • would be preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
  • Must be able to maintain positive working relationships with others.
  • Highly Motivated, organized, reliable, and self-starter.
  • Ability to embrace change with positivity and enthusiasm
