Job Summary

The Electrical Maintenance & Automation Leader is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the electrical and mechanical maintenance activities, with a focus on automation systems and PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) management across production facilities. This role requires expertise in automation technology and involves leading a team of maintenance technicians to ensure the efficient operation and reliability of all electrical and automation systems. The leader will conduct hands-on support, oversee PLC systems, manage backups, and ensure consistent updates on equipment advancements.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Maintenance Coordination

  • Oversee and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance for both electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Manage a team of electrical and mechanical technicians, ensuring effective and timely interventions on automation panels and systems.


2. Technical Support and Leadership

  • Provide direct, hands-on support to technicians during preventive and corrective maintenance.
  • Serve as the primary resource for automation and PLC-related issues, troubleshooting, and complex interventions.


3. Automation & PLC Management

  • Manage and maintain PLC systems in production areas, including the pasta factory and mill.
  • Regularly perform system backups and ensure continuity of automation processes.


4. Maintenance Execution and Documentation

  • Perform routine and extraordinary maintenance as required, ensuring equipment is up-to-date and functioning optimally.
  • Document all maintenance activities, backups, and system updates to maintain compliance and support operational efficiency.


Qualifications:

  • Post secondary education related to scope of work.
  • 5-7 years with electrical maintenance and automation experience.
  • Proven leadership experience.
  • MUST HAVE FOOD MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE.
  • Experience programming & PLC troubleshooting with Siemens PLC’s.
  • Experience with industrial robotics, PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and vision systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of automation systems, with experience managing systems from installation through ongoing maintenance.
  • Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate and organize multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to support a collaborative maintenance environment.
  • Valid passport or ability to obtain one for out of country training as needed.
  • Clean criminal background.
