Role Description


Current Instrumentation & Automation Inc. is seeking a Field Service Instrumentation Technician for a full-time. The Field Service Technician will perform commissioning, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, repairs, and calibrations to industrial instrumentation and automation systems and strive to provide the best customer experience. The Technician will work with the service group, business development and inside team to identify and provide solutions for clients in various industries, including steel, oil and gas, chemical, water, wastewater, plastic, building materials and manufacturing.


Qualifications


  • Field experience with process instruments is a must
  • A fair understanding of industrial instrumentation and equipment, including temperature, pressure, level, flow, gas analyzers, and fixed toxic and flammable gas detection.
  • Familiarity with electrical, automation systems and equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and schematics
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • An electrical license is an asset
  • Valid Canadian work permit


Note: Comfortable with travelling across Canada and occasionally outside Canada
