Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Instrumentation Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will perform commissioning, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, repairs, and calibrations to industrial instrumentation and automation systems and equipment. This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Commission, troubleshoot, and maintain industrial instrumentation and automation systems and equipment
  • Perform repairs and calibrations to ensure optimal system performance
  • Collaborate with the service manager, business development, and inside team to identify and provide solutions for clients
  • Work with automation systems and equipment, including temperature, pressure, level, flow, gas analyzers, and fixed toxic and flammable gas detection
  • Read and interpret technical documentation and schematics
  • Develop and implement effective troubleshooting and problem-solving strategies
  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and management

Requirements

  • Field experience in instrumentation and automation
  • Strong understanding of industrial instrumentation and equipment, including temperature, pressure, level, flow, gas analyzers, and fixed toxic and flammable gas detection
  • Familiarity with automation systems and equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and schematics
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • An electrical license is an asset
  • Valid Canadian work permit
