Description:


We are currently looking for an Expeditor for the Western procurement team based in Calgary.

The Expeditor is tasked with expediting replenishment orders with suppliers to ensure they meet predetermined delivery schedules and demands. Serving as a liaison between the branch and suppliers, the Expeditor is responsible for obtaining and updating shipping date information, as well as providing support for resolving non-conformances.



Key responsibilities include:


  • Entering delivery dates in the ERP system based on replenishment orders placed with suppliers.
  • Expediting or de-expediting existing orders based on optimal replenishment planning.
  • Communicating with suppliers and internal customers via email regarding stock availability
  • Serving as a backup for the centralized procurement email address
  • Updating and maintaining procurement supplier and internal customer contact lists
  • Assisting buyers in reconciling existing orders that are short shipped from the supplier.
  • Coordinating non-conformance resolutions with accounts payable, traffic, and suppliers


Required Skills:


  • Ability to manage competing priorities and time effectively.
  • Strong understanding of freight and custom procedures and regulations
  • Beginner to intermediate knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of tactical procurement processes.
  • Strong conflict resolution skills and ability to adapt to continuous changes.
  • AS400 knowledge considered an asset.
