The Bilingual Collections Officer serves as the primary contact for clients:


  • Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly.
  • Secure payments professionally and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with clients to resolve disputes and negotiate favorable solutions.
  • Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion regarding all customer and vendor transactions.
  • Manage customer files and make informed decisions regarding file acceleration, including repossession, write-offs, or legal actions.


Qualifications

  • Fluency in both French and English.
  • At least 2 years of experience in administration or client services within banking, financial services, credit, or collections.
  • Proficiency in setting up and documenting payment arrangements accurately.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset.
  • Attention to detail with a proven track record of maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Ability to uphold confidentiality and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Intermediate skills in MS Office and a willingness to learn new applications.
  • Familiarity with compliance laws related to collections is an asset.
