Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Supervisor of Design Engineering at Promation in Oakville, ON. We are seeking a hands-on and experienced Supervisor to lead our talented design team throughout the project life cycle. The role involves overseeing day-to-day design engineering tasks, collaborating with cross functional teams, providing technical solutions, leading and mentoring the design team, and ensuring project success. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing the design and development of our advanced tooling, automation, and robotic systems while helping to establish and maintain engineering design standards. Qualifications

  • A post-secondary degree in industrial or mechanical engineering or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in design engineering
  • 2+ years of experience in the nuclear tooling industry
  • 2+ years of experience leading and/or supervising a team of engineers
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation in Ontario is considered an asset
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for effective team collaboration
  • Advanced SolidWorks skills required with a strong understanding of best practices (experience with other CAD packages may be considered)
  • Familiarity with SolidWorks simulation (finite element analysis)
  • Experience in SolidWorks PDM vault is considered an asset
  • Familiarity with operating under a quality management system (CSA N299.1)
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and motivate team members
