The Company

Globe 24-7 in partnership with a key client in West Africa are working together to source experienced and qualified talent to join their team.


The Role

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working as a Control Room Operator in a gold processing plant or similar industrial environment. They should have a strong focus on plant operations and the ability to transfer knowledge to local plant personnel. Please note this is a 3-month contract.


The Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor plant processes from a central control room using Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems.
  • Interpret and respond to process parameters, alarms, and abnormal conditions to ensure optimal plant performance.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed logs of plant operations, including production data, process changes, and equipment issues.
  • Collaborate with plant personnel to troubleshoot and resolve process issues in a timely manner.
  • Conduct regular inspections of plant equipment and instrumentation to ensure proper functioning.
  • Transfer knowledge and provide training to local plant personnel to enhance their understanding of plant processes and control strategies.


The Requirements

  • Fluent in French and English
  • Previous experience working as a Control Room Operator in a gold processing plant or similar industrial environment.
  • Familiarity with process control systems, including DCS and SCADA systems.
  • Proficiency in operating and monitoring plant processes from a central control room.
  • Knowledge of plant instrumentation, equipment, and control strategies.
  • Ability to interpret and respond to process parameters, alarms, and abnormal conditions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team environment.
