Expat Mill Operator

The Company

Globe 24-7 in partnership with a key client in West Africa are working together to source experienced and qualified talent to join their team.

The Role

The ideal candidate will be fluent in French and English, plant-focused, and have the ability to transfer knowledge to local plant personnel. This person will be responsible for interpreting and responding to process parameters, alarms, and abnormal conditions to ensure optimal ore processing and gold recovery. Please note this is a 3-month contract.

The Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor milling equipment, including crushers, conveyors, mills, and classifiers.
• Maintain a safe work environment by following safety protocols and procedures related to mill operations.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks on mill equipment and troubleshoot operational issues.
• Transfer knowledge to local plant personnel to enhance their skills and capabilities.
• Read and interpret process flow diagrams and equipment manuals.
• Collaborate with other team members to achieve production targets and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate records of production and equipment maintenance activities.

The Requirements

• Fluency in French and English.
• Previous experience working as a Mill Operator in a gold processing plant or similar industrial setting.
• Knowledge of milling equipment and processes.
• Familiarity with operating and monitoring milling processes to achieve optimal ore processing and gold recovery.
• Understanding of safety protocols and procedures related to mill operations.
• Ability to perform basic maintenance tasks on mill equipment.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting process flow diagrams and equipment manuals.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
