About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Fire Sprinkler Fitter to join our team. This role involves performing installation, maintenance, and repair of fire sprinkler systems in industrial settings. Responsibilities:

  • Service and repair fire sprinkler systems, including wet (steel, copper, CPVC), dry, pre-action, deluge systems, and fire pumps/hydrants.
  • Install replacement parts and equipment for various fire sprinkler systems, including valve rebuilds.
  • Perform system shut-offs and turn-ons for repairs.
  • Troubleshoot facility equipment failures to minimize downtime.
  • Ensure timely and proper completion of preventative, corrective, and reactive maintenance work orders.
  • Adapt to diverse work environments and shifting priorities.
  • Maintain and organize replacement parts and ensure future parts are ordered on time.
  • Operate equipment at heights, including scissor lifts, zoom booms, and scaffolding.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a steamfitter or pipefitter.
  • Registered with the Ontario College of Trades (427A).
  • Proven experience in manufacturing facilities related to installing, modifying, and repairing fire sprinkler systems.
  • Strong understanding and promotion of safety practices.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of codes and tools required for fire sprinkler system maintenance and repair.
  • Comfortable working at heights with appropriate equipment.
  • Valid Ontario G driver's license.
