This position offers a hybrid work schedule.
The Role:
The Digital Architect is an integral part of the Innovation team, responsible for developing, designing, and implementing an architecture that supports our long-term needs. This includes the design and implementation of an overall data architecture, including data models, and data flow diagrams that define how data is stored, organized, integrated, and accessed across Farm Mutual Re.
To enable this, this role manages the overall design and development of a scalable and robust digital architecture to support Farm Mutual Re’s growing Innovation capabilities, delivering technical roadmaps and implementation plans. The incumbent will also be responsible for managing decision making to ensure solutions are scalable, reliable, and secure, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
The successful candidate can expect to:
- Assess the current state of Innovation architecture across Farm Mutual Re, highlighting our key challenges and opportunities for growth and improvement
- Design and develop architecture solutions that align with our strategic plan, business goals, and technical requirements
- Deliver integration strategies to enable continuous data flow and interoperability between third-party applications and legacy systems to ensure data integrity, security, and real-time information exchange
- Empower new digital capabilities such as collecting and analyzing unstructured data, enabling real-time data processing, and streaming analytics
- Manage the implementation of scalable, secure, and robust digital architecture solutions aligned with industry best practices, architecture standards, and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with IT and other cross-functional teams to provide architectural guidance to design and architect digital solutions.
Your Skills and Qualifications:
- You have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- You have at least 5+ years of experience as a Digital or Solutions Architect
- In-depth knowledge of digital technologies, architecture frameworks, and industry best practices
- In depth knowledge of In-depth knowledge of digital technologies, including cloud computing (Azure, GCP, AWS, including cloud and data processing technologies such as Azure Synapse, Databricks, AWS Glue, Google), big data, and cybersecurity
- Understanding of Agile methodologies, focused on leveraging a build-measure-learn approach to deliver outcomes.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think strategically and translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate across teams
