Montreal, Canada Consoltec - FlowFit Translation Management System Full time

We are looking for a talented and experienced Development Team Leader with a strong background in software architecture to join our team. The Development Team Leader will be responsible for leading a team of developers, driving technical excellence, and contributing to the overall architecture and design of our software solutions. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leadership in a development environment, with experience in software architecture, design patterns, and best practices. They will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and maintainable software solutions. As a Team Leader, you will play a key role in shaping the technical direction of our projects and ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives. 

 

Responsibilities 

  • Lead and manage a team of developers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. 
  • Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements, priorities, and constraints, and translate them into technical solutions. 
  • Drive the architectural design and implementation of software solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance while adhering to industry best practices and standards. 
  • Define and enforce coding standards, development guidelines, and quality assurance processes to maintain code quality, readability, and maintainability across the team. 
  • Conduct code reviews, provide feedback, and mentor team members to promote knowledge sharing, skill development, and career growth. 
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in software development and architecture, and advocate for their adoption where appropriate. 
  • Collaborate with other development teams, architects, and technical leaders to identify opportunities for code reuse, componentization, and standardization across projects. 
  • Monitor project progress, track and report on key performance metrics, and proactively identify and address any technical issues or risks that may impact project delivery. 

 

Requirements 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 
  • 10+ years of experience in software development, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role, leading development teams and driving technical excellence. 
  • Strong understanding of software architecture principles, design patterns, and best practices, with hands-on experience in designing and implementing scalable, distributed systems. 
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, Typescript, or JavaScript, and familiarity with modern frameworks and technologies. 
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. 
  • Experience with agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines is a must. 
  • Practical experience in writing unit and integration tests, in TDD and BDD. 
  • Practical experience in service-oriented architecture (API and SDK). 
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or Google Cloud Platform, and experience with microservices architecture and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is highly desirable. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. 
  • Gifted thinker, extremely resourceful, detail-oriented and proactive. 
  • Team player who always places the interest of the team first. 
  • Strong time management skills and work ethic (highly motivated). 
  • Bilingual (English and French).
