The Role

Down Smash Studios® is in search of a Social Media Manager to join our growing team and take part in building a top quality Unreal Engine 4 game. The ideal candidate can wear multiple hats taking on a variety of tasks related to marketing, PR, social media, influencer outreach, and community management. The candidate should be self-managing, intuitive, and comfortable working in an Agile Environment (scrum). Passion for playing video games is a must


Key Responsibilities and Expectations

  • Ideate, publish, and maintain creative content on social media platforms including, but not limited to Twitter, TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook
  • Work with leadership to build and execute marketing campaigns that generate engagement and interest in our upcoming products and titles
  • Form and nurture new and ongoing relationships with influencers
  • Write, schedule, and deliver high quality email marketing content
  • Assist with the development and distribution of press kits, beta tests, dev posts, and streams
  • Manage, grow, and interact positively with our Discord Community
  • Leverage statistics and analytics to improve and develop marketing strategies
  • Assist with the development of general marketing content


Qualifications and Requirements

  • 2-4 years of marketing experience in the video game space
  • Proficient with image/editing software and Google Suites
  • Experience in developing social media and digital marketing content
  • Up-to-date with the latest gaming trends and news
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and consistently able to meet deadlines
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude
  • Unmatched creativity and a willingness to learn and adapt to dynamic environments
  • Functions well on a team – collaboration and communication skills are important


Nice to Have

  • Experience with distributing games on the Steam platform
  • Email marketing expertise
