THE ROLE

Under the supervision of the Military Sports Coordinator, the Sports Assistant provides customer service to the Military Sports clientele. They assist in the planning, organizing and monitoring intersection sports leagues, and prepare schedules for military intersection leagues and tournaments. They monitor the usage, availability and issuance of sports equipment for military intersection league and sports. The Sports Assistant organizes, conducts, and prepares minutes for military intersection league and sports meetings. They will initiate and recommend updates to intersection league policies and directives.

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED

Education, Certifications and Licenses

High school diploma AND several years of experience in Sports Administration, or a related field

AND

Current CPR and Standard First Aid certification

Experience

In office administration
In administration of sports or sporting events
In participating in sports
In the preparation of reports

Competencies

Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS

English Essential

This is an on-site position with an assigned work location.

This unionized position is open to all interested parties. Preference will be granted in accordance with the Collective Agreement.

START DATE

The anticipated term of this position is until 30 September 2024.
