Lakeland Catholic School Division is seeking a committed and enthusiastic educational leader for the position of Coordinator of French Instruction and Programming.

Reporting directly to the Deputy Superintendent, the incumbent will be tasked with providing leadership and support at the school level in a collaborative team environment to address the French language requirements of a dynamic Catholic school division. Lakeland Catholic School Division encompasses eight schools across Bonnyville, Cold Lake, Lac La Biche, and Waskatenau, Alberta, serving approximately 2,700 students and 400 staff members.

Responsibilities include:

Coordinate and support teachers in the implementation of current and new curriculum

Develop process and assist resource selection by teaching staff

Promote and support a collaborative planning culture among teachers

Assists all students in having the opportunity to meet the standards of education set by the Minister, division, and school.

Assists in providing for the professional development of staff and administrators required to support programs and services.

Assists in providing support for initiatives to facilitate curricular outcomes.

Liase with Alberta Government and other education partners to support integration into all curriculum areas.

Assists in the accountability for program delivery at individual schools.

Assists in monitoring and reporting on student achievement against provincial and Division standards.

Establish excellent communication with District administrators, staff, and all stakeholders and community to promote District programs (focus on French Immersion and Francophone)

Assists in maintaining productive professional relationships with Division staff, parents, Alberta Education and other affiliated groups or organizations.

Report to the Board as requested

Conduct meetings as appropriate

Write reports as requested

Assists in exhibiting a high level of personal, professional, and organizational integrity.

Other duties as assigned by the Deputy Superintendent.

The ideal candidate will exhibit collaborative leadership, innovative and analytical thinking, possess strong problem-solving skills with a focus on finding solutions, demonstrate exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, and show flexibility and adaptability in their approach.

The individual is required to possess, at the minimum, a Bachelor of Education degree and have a minimum of five years' teaching experience. Proficiency in K-12 curriculum and assessment, along with prior leadership roles, would be advantageous. Preference will be given to candidates with a Master of Education Degree or currently completing a Master of Education Degree.

The ability to speak fluently in French is a prerequisite.
