This Opportunity

We are excited to announce an exceptional opportunity for a dynamic individual to join our Innovative Product Support (IPS) team. Our team is composed of dedicated professionals committed to exceeding expectations through the development and enhancement of cutting-edge products for Opus and our clients. We strive to deliver unparalleled service within a well-organized, transparent framework, focusing on maximizing return on investment.

In this role, you will manage the development of internal product applications. You will lead comprehensive project management tasks, including but not limited to: creating process workflows, gathering project requirements, designing database objects, collaborating with developers, overseeing testing and deployment, and communicating progress to stakeholders.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Development and Operations teams, to deliver high-quality product applications.
  • Translate business requirements and goals into detailed user stories, technical requirements and quality assurance testing.
  • Manage the product lifecycle from concept to launch, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
  • Creating and maintaining database objects for application development and management information reporting using MySQL.
  • Providing stakeholders with real-time status updates, progress summaries, and communicating delivery timelines proactively.
  • Resolving escalated issues related to tools and applications by coordinating with developers, business users, product owners, and support teams as needed.
  • Maintaining comprehensive documentation of assigned product applications on ticketing procedures, technical guides, and user guides.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks associated with assigned product's development and deployment.
  • Utilizing diverse technologies, including (but not limited to) Python, HTML, JavaScript, VBA, MYSQL, and SQL Server, to develop solutions that address operational issues.
  • Continuously challenging the status quo and seeking process improvements

A Little About You

  • You hold a bachelor's degree in a related field
  • You have 3+ years of experience working with databases (MYSQL, MSSQL, PostGres) or similar relational database sets and can construct and execute sophisticated queries
  • You have 5+ years of project management experience
  • Experience in the fund administration industry is an asset
  • Proven ability to define product requirements, manage backlogs, and work with agile development teams
  • You are proficient in MS Excel and have a strong interest in automation and software design
  • You are eager to learn, collaborate, and quickly adapt to new tasks
  • You are an innovative problem-solver with a knack for creative solutions
  • You are extremely organized and can manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • You are adept at time management, data analysis, and have a keen attention to detail
  • You possess outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
