Product Designer

Ontario - Remote

$70k - $85k CAD

Morpheus are partnered with a long-standing client who are a leader in data engineering, Data science, AI and generative AI.

They are looking for a Product Designer to create user-centered solutions that define and enhance our product experience.

In this role, you'll design intuitive, user-friendly interfaces and optimize interactions to deliver elegant, functional prototypes that align with both user needs and business goals. Whether you're bringing new concepts to life (0-1) or enhancing existing designs, you'll work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver digital experiences that address real-world challenges for leading companies and global brands.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Quickly design concepts to explore, communicate, and validate ideas.
  • Create high-quality interactive prototypes focusing on the fine-grained details of user interactions.
  • Apply user-centered design principles to optimize the user experience for both new and existing products and features.
  • Use design thinking methodologies to gather and evaluate project requirements in collaboration with stakeholders to define the user experience.
  • Design artifacts to effectively communicate user flows, touchpoints, behaviors, and the exchange of information.
  • Collaborate with developers to understand technology requirements as they relate to the designs of the projects.
  • Deliver design solutions that support user needs and align with business objectives.
  • Produce documentation for seamless handoff.
  • Ensure design consistency by adhering to established design patterns, principles, and best practices.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 3+ years of professional experience in product design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating strong design and problem-solving abilities.
  • In-depth understanding of design principles and best practices, with the ability to create intuitive, user-centered designs.
  • Proficiency in Figma to create interactive prototypes (experience with other prototyping tools is a plus).
  • Experience creating developer-ready assets and UI components, ensuring designs are easy to implement.
  • Knowledge of user research methods and tools, and the ability to translate insights into design solutions.
  • Experience conducting usability testing to refine and validate design concepts.
  • Up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies that influence the design process and end user experience.
  • Familiarity with accessibility guidelines, including WCAG, to ensure inclusive and accessible design solutions.
  • High attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in design execution and final deliverables.
  • Adaptability to shifting requirements and priorities in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, ensuring designs and handoff documentation are clear, well-structured, and easily accessible.
  • Strong understanding of business objectives and the ability to align designs with both user needs and business goals.
  • Collaborative team player, able to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including product managers, project managers, data scientists, and developers.

Bonus

  • Ability to present and articulate design concepts and decisions to stakeholders at all levels, from product teams to executive leadership.
  • Experience in motion design is a bonus.
  • Experience in AI/ Gen AI or desire to work within this fast paced field
