Pay Range: CAD$60 - CAD$64/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and build the Grid platform in line with strategic IT architecture
  • Manage and maintain the Grid platform
  • Optimize cloud engine performance on Azure and AWS for efficient workload execution
  • Monitor and optimize the deployment of workloads in cloud environments
  • Develop and maintain automation tools using Python and Powershell
  • Manage infrastructure expansions and compliance
  • Make cost efficiency recommendations
  • Collaborate with business, quant and other IT teams to deliver on projects
  • Provide third-line technical support for the technology platform
  • Act as an escalation point for troubleshooting and resolve production issues.
  • Collaborate with developers to investigate and fix grid-related issues impacting grid applications
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation for processes, tools and troubleshooting procedures.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

  • Ability to work in a fast paced high pressure environment, where stability and reliability is critical
  • 5+ years Experience with large scale Grid computing environments 100,000+ cores (DataSyanpse|Tibco GridServer / IBM Platform Symphony or similar)
  • Experience developing and supporting grid applications, using Grid APIs, Java/C#/C++
  • Experience with Azure and/or AWS and coding in Python and Powershell.
  • Strong expertise in Tibco GridServer 7.X on Windows Server
  • Log Analytics (Elasticsearch/SQL/Kibana/Grafana)
  • Proficiency in cloud platforms, specifically AWS and Azure
  • Advanced Scripting skill using Python and Powershell for automation
  • Developer knowledge of Java/C#/C++ with experience in client driver API integration
  • Windows Server 2019/2022
  • Enterprise monitoring tools, Geneos.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
  • Jenkins
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools for distributed systems
