JOB SUMMARY:

The IT Manager oversees the IT department, guiding and developing a team of professionals while ensuring technology systems align with operational needs and business goals. This role involves strategic planning, cross-functional collaboration, and a hands-on approach to problem-solving, driving innovation and maintaining the organization's competitive edge.

Responsibility:

IT Strategy & Roadmap: Develop and execute a technology roadmap aligned with business goals. Evaluate emerging technologies and lead initiatives to enhance system efficiency, security, and performance.

Budget & Resource Management: Oversee the IT budget, managing expenses related to hardware, software, licensing, and staffing. Optimize resource allocation to balance daily operations with long-term projects.

Project Execution: Lead IT projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and alignment with organizational priorities.

Team Leadership: Recruit, mentor, and manage a team of IT professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.

Training & Growth: Identify skill gaps and facilitate training programs to keep the team updated with industry best practices and technological advancements.

IT Infrastructure Management: Ensure the performance, reliability, and security of all IT systems, including networks, servers, and databases. Implement proactive monitoring and maintenance strategies.

Cybersecurity & Risk Management: Contribute to the development and enforcement of cybersecurity policies to protect company data and systems. Stay informed on evolving security threats and solutions.

Collaboration & Negotiation: Work closely with external vendors and internal stakeholders to manage service-level agreements (SLAs), negotiate contracts, and ensure third-party solutions align with company standards.

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Offer on-call technical support as needed.
  • Support system operation tasks when required.
  • Assist with development operations duties as necessary.
  • Perform other tasks as requested by executive leadership and management.
  • Ensure 24/7/365 availability, or make appropriate backup arrangements.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 5-7 years of experience in IT management or a similar leadership role.
Technical Knowledge/Experience:
  • Infrastructure: Expertise in managing network infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, cloud environments, virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), and disaster recovery planning.
  • Systems Administration: Experience with Windows management, database systems (e.g., SQL), and storage solutions.
  • Cybersecurity: In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, firewall management, VPNs, and anti-virus software. Familiarity with risk management and data protection policies.
  • Enterprise Software: Proficiency with ERP systems, particularly Microsoft Dynamics, CRM software, and Microsoft 365 (or similar office productivity suites).
  • Project Management: Proven track record of planning, executing, and overseeing IT projects.
