Associate Director of Revenue Management

Pinnacle Hotels is growing so we are seeking an Associate Director of Revenue to work within our centralized Revenue Management team reporting to the Regional Director of Revenue Strategy (RDRS). The centralized team overseas a portfolio of four properties: Downtown Vancouver, North Vancouver, Whistler, & Richmond (coming soon), with more properties in the pipeline. This role will be based downtown, but travel may be required to the other properties. 

As a member of Pinnacle Hotel's centralized RM team, you will be a part of a cohesive group responsible for maximizing the company's top & bottom-line financial performance. This role will provide opportunity to develop further in the discipline of Revenue Management and to grow within our organization. The ideal candidate will be able to see both the micro and macro level, embrace change, have a strong appetite for learning, have a growth mindset, and be comfortable with reporting systems.  

Essential Functions

Some specific duties will be as follows:

  • Report generation, price, account and distribution channel management
  • Identify and educate the team on new revenue management techniques and strategies. 
  • Support the revenue management team in meeting or exceeding key performance indicators
  • Ability to confidently step-in during the absence of the RDRS. 
  • Collaborate with our marketing team and sales team  
  • Keep up to date with what is happening in the market and economic conditions and other travel drivers
  • Let your curiosity thrive to identify potential new opportunities, actively contributing to brainstorming sessions.  

Qualifications & Experience

  • 2- or 4-year degree or diploma in a related field is an asset
  • 3 to 5 years' experience in a revenue management role, plus multi-property experience is an asset. 
  • Experience with hotel property management systems (I.E. Opera PMS, Agilysys POS)
  • Experience with the following systems (or similar) would be an asset but not mandatory: IDeaS RMS, Passkey, Synxis CRS, CoStar (STR), Demand 360, along with various Marriott brand systems. 
  • Organized, detail oriented and self-motivated. Able to multitask and prioritize effectively
  • Strong technical and analytical skills to gather, analyze and communicate financial & numerical information.
  • Non-rooms revenue management an asset but not required 
  • Able to adapt to change and work collaboratively with fellow colleagues.
  • Must be experienced with Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel
  • Understanding of general hotel operations and revenue management philosophy.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal including negotiation skills
