Medical Equipment Assistant

We are currently looking for someone who feels passionate for assisting our valued customers and clients; face to face, via phone or email. They come to us to resolve a health issue that is interfering with activities of their daily life. Sometimes they have a prescription/recommendation from an M.D, O.T/P.T. or a Specialist and sometimes they don't. It is our job to understand the customer's situation (issues, needs, goals) and come up with an effective solution.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to):
*Listening to the customer to understand their needs.
*Coming up with appropriate solutions based on their needs.
*Following instructions, including company policies and procedures.
*Setting up and assisting with product displays and pricing in the showroom.
*Answering questions about products; prices, rental rates, availability, operation.
*Scheduling appointments for services, including delivery and installation.
*Receiving and checking off deliveries for orders.
*Assisting the store manager and other team members as needed.
Qualifications
*Fluent in English
*College diploma/university degree, or certificates, preferably in health sciences, rehabilitation, physiotherapy or related fields.
*Experience working in healthcare/medical environment or with medical equipment experience is strongly preferred.
*Passionate about human healthcare and anatomy/physiology.
*Must be able to develop trust and grow relationships with customers and professionals.
* Demonstrates strong interpersonal and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
* Excellent planning, time management and organizational skills.
* Knowledge/experience in healthcare.
* Must be patient and love interacting with seniors.
