The location in Montreal , ( Quebec , Canada ), is seeking talent to fill the position of Senior Analyst, Network Security . This job is full-time permanent .

Overview: Reporting to the Network Manager, Transformation, you will join a collaborative team of Senior Network Analysts whose mission is to transform and govern the company's global network services to optimize performance and deliver for the Business needs of today and the foreseeable future. You will also collaborate with cross functional Network Architects, Network Administrators and IT Infrastructure Administrators.

Your role: Domtar's IT organization is driving a technology transformation. As Senior Analyst, Network Security you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the security and efficiency of our network infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include, developing robust security strategies, designing and implementing advanced firewall solutions and identifying opportunities for improvement on-prem and in the cloud. This role provides a unique opportunity to stay abreast of emerging market trends and leverage cutting-edge technologies. As a senior team member, you will maintain a hands-on approach, applying your expertise to design and execute security-focused projects that strengthen our organization's network defenses while driving impactful change.

Your challenges:
Develop and deliver Network Security transformation:
Identify and evaluate opportunities
Develop strategies
Design technical solutions & integration plans
Implement and train the Delivery and Operations teams to take over ongoing support
Install, configure, secure and maintain the network security infrastructure.
Design, implement and troubleshoot network security solutions.
Aid in resolving network security issues when required.
Staying abreast of current threats, vulnerabilities and best practices.
Review and evaluate new information technology developments in the field of network security.
Conduct and execute security infrastructure assessments
Be a subject matter expert & trusted advisor in Network Security.
Produce quality documentation: build books, business cases, standards and procedures, etc.
Provide third-level support for troubleshooting complex, multi-technology security incidents.

Your profile:
Solid experience in design and implementation of network security solutions or environments.
Strong experience in deploying and supporting the following:
Firewall technologies (Fortinet FortiGate NGFW, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA and Firepower)
Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot remote access VPN solutions for secure connectivity.
Participate in the design and evolution of perimeter network security architectures.
Research, evaluate, and recommend solutions to address emerging threats.
Collaborate with stakeholders to align technology enhancements with business objectives.
Ensure VPN infrastructure aligns with organizational and compliance standards.
Fortinet FortiAuthenticator two-factor authentication solution;
Secure vendor remote access (BeyondTrust);
Palo Alto-Global Protect, Panorama
Experience IPS, SSL certificates, SSL Decryption and Web Filtering/Proxy
Strong experience with Fortinet products FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer;
Strong working knowledge of network protocols and managing access control policies.
Experience with network segmentation and/or security zones for applicable data protection according to data classification.
Experience with BGP, OSPF, EIGRP routing and LAN/WAN technologies.
Experience with Zero Trust, Networking, Network Security, SaaS Security or SSE/SAS.
Solid understanding of, SASE, SD-WAN, CASB, DLP.
You hold a University degree with a major in IT or equivalent work experience;
You have a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in network security design and support.
Security certifications are an asset (i.e. Fortinet NSE4 or higher, Palo Alto PCNSE, CISSP, CISCO security cert) Not required, but nice to have.
Office 365 or other cloud SaaS implementations.
IP Telephony
Application/server load balancing technologies and reverse proxies.
