About the Financial Modeling Institute (FMI)
The FMI's mission is to promote awareness, excellence and discipline in financial modeling globally through its world-class accreditation programs. The FMI's accreditations are relevant for professionals working in accounting, asset management, banking, business development, credit, private equity, venture capital, and other areas.
FMI's candidates join the online FMI Community, access self-study learning materials, and prepare for a proctored online exam. FMI has candidates in 120 countries.
The Opportunity
Our Business Development (BD) team is growing, and we're looking for a Partner Relations Associate to help drive engagement with corporate partners, alumni, and the broader financial community.
Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer, the Partner Relations Associate plays a key role in supporting FMI's business development efforts, with a focus on partnerships, alumni outreach, and marketing coordination.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team that builds meaningful relationships, drives strategic initiatives, and supports FMI's continued global growth.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Generation & Outreach
- Identify and engage prospective partners
- Conduct outreach to FMI alumni
- Assist in scheduling and coordinating meetings with BD leadership
Marketing & Communications Support
- Coordinate B2B marketing campaigns on LinkedIn in collaboration with the marketing team
- Manage and optimize partner newsletters, ensuring timely and relevant communication
- Develop case studies showcasing the impact of the FMI accreditations
Partnership & Candidate Support
- Serve as a liaison with corporate partners, ensuring smooth communication and execution of initiatives
- Oversee internal scholarship process
- Ensure candidates are onboarded properly and check in with them at key milestones
Operations & Administration
- Manage BD HubSpot, tracking leads, and performance metrics
- Handle invoicing, ensuring accuracy and timely processing
Qualifications
- University degree with an emphasis in business, marketing, finance, economics, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in sales, marketing or business development capacity is an asset.
- Experience in building relationships and managing partnerships.
- Familiarity with HubSpot (or other CRM).
- Proficient with data analysis tools such as Excel, Google Analytics, etc.
- Self-starter, with a strong ability to quickly grasp new concepts and acquire new skills.
- Capacity to think critically, analyze information, and draw meaningful conclusions.
- Highly organized and comfortable balancing several competing tasks, ensuring that each are completed accurately and with a high attention to detail.
- Hard-working, collaborative, enthusiastic team player with an eagerness to learn.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills.
- Personable with ability to initiate and develop new partner relationships.
Compensation
$50,000 to $65,000/year commensurate with experience
