We are seeking a highly motivated Director of Curriculum Development to join our team Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, you will lead a team of two curriculum writers and oversee the development, evaluation, and enhancement of curriculum materials to ensure a high-quality learning experience at Scholars.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of curriculum writers to produce top-tier educational materials.
  • Design and execute curriculum strategies that align with best practices, industry standards, and targeted learning outcomes.
  • Create scaffolded learning materials that guide students from foundational concepts to mastery, weaving in inquiry-based learning and problem-solving while linking to prior knowledge.
  • Build a flexible curriculum tailored to diverse learning styles and needs, accessible across in-person, online, and hybrid environments.
  • Enrich, extend, and refine the curriculum to deepen student understanding and boost engagement.
  • Ensure the Scholars curriculum meets provincial standards while staying true to its core educational goals.
  • Partner with subject matter experts, educators, and instructional designers to craft compelling and effective instructional content.
  • Equip franchisees with training and resources to deliver the Scholars curriculum effectively, adapting it to individual student needs and leveraging best teaching practices.
  • Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to champion curriculum-related initiatives across the organization.
  • Maintain compliance with academic standards, regulatory requirements, and accreditation guidelines.
  • Evaluate curriculum effectiveness using data-driven insights and drive continuous improvements based on findings.
  • Regularly update and enhance the curriculum by incorporating feedback, emerging research, and educational trends.
  • Keep abreast of curriculum innovations, trends, and industry developments across all regions where Scholars operates.
  • Deliver consistent reports and updates on curriculum projects to the Chief Operating Officer and leadership team.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Education, Curriculum Development, Instructional Design, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in curriculum development, instructional design, or educational program management.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and mentoring a team.
  • Deep understanding of instructional strategies, learning theories, and assessment methodologies.
  • Ability to design differentiated, scaffolded lessons for a range of learners.
  • Strong understanding of constructivist learning principles and student-centered teaching.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management abilities.
  • Experience with digital learning platforms and e-learning content development is a plus.
