Position Overview:

Reporting to the Project Manager, the success candidate will be a member of the AquatechTeam who will use their sound engineering background and organizational skills, to deliver support resources to a designated Project Manager(s). This role includes reviewing tender opportunities, contract specifications and documents, preparing of budgets, order processing and coordination with various suppliers and internal departments on active contracts. Duties and Responsibilities:

· Source tender opportunities specific to their sector; track on CRM.

· Be point of contact to GC/client(estimator) for quoting enquiries, tender opportunities, and job closings.

· Review tender drawings, specs, engineering reports to perform assessment and quantity take-off.

· Write engineering plans, prepare layout drawings and P&ID (process and instrumentation diagram); communicate any changes with design with PM and client.

· Prepare quotations for tender submission using inventory software management program.

· Prepare final bid submission documents utilizing standard bid submission format.

· Prepare and finalize prequalification packages.

· Perform application engineering, including design calculations to pick specific system/system solution.

· Assist with obtaining pricing from preferred vendor list (if applicable).

· Liaise with shop operations to check on inventory availability.

· Attend pre-bid site visits, assess job layouts etc.

· Finalize bid and present to Project Manager and Senior Project Manager for final signature (2-signature policy).

· Responsible for change orders, revised quotations dependent on complexity of client request.

· Follow up on final tender results as per our standard guideline and track on CRM.

· Track win/losses; and update CRM as per policy.

· Upon award, responsible for project transition to team.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree, preferably in mechanical or civil engineering or related experience an asset.

· Preferably 2 plus years’ experience in construction estimating.

· Experience in pumping equipment and water treatment is an asset.

· Experience in monitoring instrumentation, controls and automation is an asset.

· Very organized, heightened attention to detail, and punctual to deadlines.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office (Strong on Excel) and AutoCad would be an asset.
