SAP Logistics Specialist
Markham, ON
Role Overview: The SAP Logistics Specialist will play a crucial role in transitioning the logistics team from JDE to SAP. This position requires a thorough understanding of the current logistics processes, identifying new requirements, and implementing them in SAP to meet the operational needs of the Markham plant/warehouse. The specialist will support testing cycles, create documentation, and provide training for the release.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and understand the existing logistics workflows and requirements currently managed in JDE.
- Implement SAP solutions to fulfill the identified requirements, ensuring alignment with the plant/warehouse needs.
- Participate in and support various test cycles to ensure the functionality and performance of the SAP setup.
- Create comprehensive documentation detailing the new SAP configurations and processes.
- Provide training sessions and support for end-users to facilitate a smooth transition to the new system.
Candidate Requirements:
Must-Haves:
- Strong knowledge of SAP Logistics Modules (e.g., MM, WM, SD).
- Proven experience in configuring and implementing SAP solutions tailored to logistics requirements.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with ERP migrations, particularly transitioning from JDE to SAP, or experience with multiple ERP migrations.
Tools / Software / Methodology / Certification:
- Proficiency in SAP, particularly in logistics modules.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and migration methodologies.
Soft Skills:
- Well-organized and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Rigorous attention to detail to ensure accurate and efficient setup of SAP configurations.
- Excellent listening skills to understand user requirements and feedback.
- Autonomous with the ability to work independently and make informed decisions.
