JW’s Music Studio LTD is looking for piano instructors

JW’s Music Studio LTD is currently partnering with School District 43 to offer a music after school program by the name of “Music Adventure.” Music Adventure is an introductory music program that allows student to experience music through piano playing. After “Music Adventure,” Students are encouraged to continue piano studying at our studio.

We are looking for piano instructors to teach “Music Adventure” at the public schools in the tri-city area, and piano lessons. Our ideal candidate is someone who has class management skills, as well as knowledge in piano playing and piano pedagogy. For teachers, training is necessary for teaching group lesson in the studio and “Music Adventure,” in the public school, therefore, teaching experience in both private and group lesson is not required. 

We offer strong support in administrative and promotional tasks. However, it is most appropriate for the instructor to explain to the parents the importance of transitioning the students from “Music Adventure” to private or group piano class.

Duties include:

- Teaching piano in a group and private setting

- Familiarize teaching material

- Planning lessons accordingly (to the speed of the class)

- Minor administrative task, such as organizing the attendant

- Communicating with student’s parent affectively and regularly

Preferred Qualifications:

- Minimum requirement is ARCT or equivalent

- Teaching experience is preferred

- Student who is currently pursuing a Music Diploma or Bachelor of Music is welcomed.
