LeverageTek is actively seeking an eLearning Quality Assurance Analyst for a 12-month contract with its Ottawa-based customer.


Work Location

Remote (with anticipated quarterly onsite meetings at the Ottawa location).


Key Tasks

  • Responsible for the coordination of eLearning development and the quality review process for the training materials that are created
  • Responsible for the technical development of eLearning materials and the quality review process for the training materials that are created
  • Provide expertise in learning theories, educational technologies, adult education, and quality assurance standards for the creation of training materials
  • Develop eLearning content using Adobe Captivate, as guided by a Training Specialist and subject matter experts on the project
  • Undertake quality review process for training materials, ensuring they follow internal Project eLearning standards and meet best practices in adult education and use of educational technologies
  • Provide expertise, guidance and coaching, where required, on how to apply quality assurance measures to videos, software simulations and learner assessments to improve the user experience
  • Provide informal guidance, coaching and support to new multimedia developer co-op students in their orientation, completion and self- and peer- review of eLearning projects
  • Report directly to the Manager, eLearning and Development; as such, the Manager, eLearning and Development is accountable for the decision-making process


Key Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience developing eLearning projects, including the application of adult learning theories to produce interactive learning materials, software simulations and instructional guiding documents
  • 5+ years of experience in the use of the Adobe Creative Suite (e.g., Premiere Pro, In Design, Audition)
  • Experience developing software simulations within large ERP projects, including knowledge of processes to stage data for training simulations


Qualifications

  • 4-year bachelor’s degree, 3-year Diploma or foreign equivalent, from an accredited institution in a related field (e.g., Education, Educational Technology, Instructional Design, Curriculum Design, Multimedia Design)
  • Demonstrated expertise in the use of quality assurance methodologies and tools.
  • 3+ years of experience in the use of Adobe Captivate (or equivalent rapid eLearning tool)
  • Experience using Adobe Captivate to create software simulations


Assets

  • Experience working in post-secondary education; knowledge of business operations in a Registrar’s Office
  • Previous experience creating training for the use of a student information system
