Position Overview: As an Electrical Controls Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems and components. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to drive innovation, solve complex challenges, and contribute to the creation of groundbreaking solutions in our industry.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and participate in the successful execution of project design, layout, and engineering.
  • Develop and/or approve of engineering design documents, reports, and drawings.
  • Define, monitor, and adjust project scope of work.
  • Support the team during procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.
  • Prepare technical documentation, including specifications, reports, and user manuals.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in all electrical designs and implementations.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.
  • Regularly attend customer sites for project reviews, commissioning, etc.
  • Facilitating customer conversations regularly.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, or equivalent.
  • A valid P. Eng licence in Ontario an asset
  • Advanced knowledge of AutoCad Electrical.
  • Strong understanding of the Ontario Electrical Code.
  • 7+ years in a similar field/role.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to present technical information effectively.
  • Field engineering and on-site service experience.
  • Strong experience in working with Omron and Rockwell PLC’s, Mitsubishi and Siemens an asset.
  • Ability to travel across Canada and to the United States as required.
