We are currently seeking a Data Engineering Manager to join our team in Montreal, Quebec (CA-QC), Canada (CA).

Responsable de l'ingénierie des données Les candidats idéaux pour ce projet sur place au sein de la pratique de conseil en données et intelligence artificielle de NTT DATA résident à Montréal et sont des consultants techniques et en gestion qui ont de très bonnes compétences en communication et une expérience avérée dans l'interaction avec des cadres supérieurs d'affaires et de technologie dans le domaine des services financiers. En tant que responsable de l'ingénierie des données pour ce projet sur place, vous gérerez une équipe extracôtière (d'ingénieurs de données, d'architectes de données et de scientifiques de données), et assurerez l'exécution réussie du projet dans ce rôle en contact avec le client.

Responsabilités principales :

• Contribuera à diriger le développement et à articuler les objectifs stratégiques à long terme pour la vision de l'architecture des données et établira des normes de données pour les systèmes et processus de gestion des risques non financiers.

• Soutenir la gestion des ressources de NTT DATA, en fournissant une supervision, des conseils et des contributions aux PME.

• Assurer la coordination entre les parties prenantes de l'entreprise responsables des risques non financiers et les équipes techniques.

• Élaborer et articuler des objectifs stratégiques à long terme pour la vision de l'architecture des données et établir des normes de données pour les systèmes d'entreprise.

• Utiliser diverses technologies infonuagiques, notamment Azure, AWS, GCP et des plateformes de données comme Databricks et Snowflake.

• Conceptualiser et créer une vision de bout en bout décrivant le flux transparent de données à travers des étapes successives.

• Mettre en place des processus pour régir l'identification, la collecte et l'utilisation des métadonnées de l'entreprise, garantissant ainsi leur exactitude et leur validité.

• Mettre en œuvre des méthodes et des procédures de suivi de la qualité, de l'exhaustivité, de la redondance, de la conformité et de l'amélioration continue des données.

• Évaluer et déterminer la gouvernance, la gestion et les cadres pour une gestion efficace des données dans l'ensemble de l'entreprise.

• Élaborer des stratégies et des plans complets pour la planification de la capacité des données, la sécurité des données, la gestion du cycle de vie des données, l'évolutivité, la sauvegarde, la reprise après sinistre, la continuité des activités et l'archivage.

• Identifier les domaines potentiels d'amélioration des politiques et des procédures, en initiant les changements nécessaires pour une gestion optimale des données.

• Formuler et maintenir des modèles de données et établir des politiques et des procédures pour la conception fonctionnelle.

• Offrir des recommandations techniques aux cadres supérieurs et au personnel technique dans le développement et la mise en œuvre de bases de données et de documentation.

• Restez au courant des mises à niveau et des technologies de bases de données émergentes grâce à des recherches continues.

• Collaborer avec les gestionnaires de projet et les chefs d'entreprise sur tous les projets impliquant les données de l'entreprise.

• Documenter l'architecture et l'environnement des données afin d'assurer une compréhension actuelle et précise du paysage global des données.

• Concevoir et mettre en œuvre des solutions de données adaptées aux besoins des clients et aux cas d'utilisation spécifiques.

• Offrir un leadership éclairé en recommandant les technologies et les solutions les plus adaptées à divers cas d'utilisation, allant de la couche applicative à l'infrastructure.

Qualifications de base :

• Plus de 8 ans d'expérience pratique en gestion des données, ingénierie des données, architecture des données

• Plus de 5 ans d'expérience en SQL, Python et Excel

• Plus de 2 ans d'expérience dans les services financiers (conseil en gestion sectorielle ou financière)

• Plus de 2 ans d'expérience en visualisation de données (Power BI et/ou Tableau)

• Plus de 2 ans d'expérience dans la gestion d'une équipe à l'étranger

• Plus de 2 ans d'expérience avec les systèmes basés sur le nuage (Azure, AWS ou GCP)

• Plus de 2 ans d'expérience en architecture de données d'entreprise (comme l'approvisionnement de données de bout en bout, le processus ETL/ELT de pipeline, la conservation, la qualité des données)

• Plus de 2 ans d'expérience dans la conduite de solutions technologiques de bout en bout.

• Capacité de voyager au moins 25 %.

Compétences privilégiées :

• Posséder des certifications AWS, Azure et GCP pour compléter une vaste expérience pratique.

• Expertise démontrée avec certifications en Snowflake.

• Expérience pratique de la science des données (IA/ML/Gen AI)

• Expérience pratique des outils MDM, DQ, DG (par exemple, Collibra, Informatica, Alteryx, Microsoft Purview, etc.)

• Expérience de l'utilisation de R (ou d'outils similaires)

• Expérience précieuse du conseil en gestion « Big 4 » ou exposition à plusieurs secteurs d'activité.

• Diplôme de premier ou de deuxième cycle préféré.

Data Engineering Manager

Ideal candidates for this onsite project within NTT DATA's Data and Artificial Intelligence consulting practice live in Montreal and are technical, management consultants who have very strong communication skills and demonstrated experience engaging with senior business and technology executives in the financial services domain. As a Data Engineering Manager for this onsite project, you will manage an offshore team (of data engineers, data architects and data scientists), as well as ensure successful project execution in this client-facing role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Will help lead the development and articulate long-term strategic goals for data architecture vision and establish data standards for Non-Financial Risk systems and processes
  • Will support the management of NTT DATA's resources, providing oversight, guidance and SME inputs.
  • Will coordinate between Non-Financial Risk business stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Develop and articulate long-term strategic goals for data architecture vision and establish data standards for enterprise systems.
    • Utilize various cloud technologies, including Azure, AWS, GCP, and data platforms like Databricks and Snowflake.
      • Conceptualize and create an end-to-end vision outlining the seamless flow of data through successive stages.
        • Institute processes for governing the identification, collection, and utilization of corporate metadata, ensuring accuracy and validity.
          • Implement methods and procedures for tracking data quality, completeness, redundancy, compliance, and continuous improvement.
            • Evaluate and determine governance, stewardship, and frameworks for effective data management across the enterprise.
              • Develop comprehensive strategies and plans for data capacity planning, data security, life cycle data management, scalability, backup, disaster recovery, business continuity, and archiving.
                • Identify potential areas for policy and procedure enhancements, initiating changes where required for optimal data management.
                  • Formulate and maintain data models and establish policies and procedures for functional design.
                    • Offer technical recommendations to senior managers and technical staff in the development and implementation of databases and documentation.
                      • Stay informed about upgrades and emerging database technologies through continuous research.
                        • Collaborate with project managers and business leaders on all projects involving enterprise data.
                          • Document the data architecture and environment to ensure a current and accurate understanding of the overall data landscape.
                            • Design and implement data solutions tailored to meet customer needs and specific use cases.
                              • Provide thought leadership by recommending the most suitable technologies and solutions for various use cases, spanning from the application layer to infrastructure.
Basic Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience across Data Management, Data Engineering, Data Architecture
  • 5+ years of SQL, Python, and Excel experience
  • 2+ years of Financial Services experience (industry or FS management consulting)
  • 2+ years of Data Visualization experience (Power BI and/or Tableau)
  • 2+ years of experience managing an offshore team
  • 2+ years of experience with Cloud-based systems (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
  • 2+ years of Enterprise Data Architecture experience (such as end to data sourcing, pipeline ETL/ELT process, curation, data quality)
  • 2+ years of experience driving end-to-end technology solutions.
  • Ability to travel at least 25%.
Preferred Skills:
  • Possess certifications in AWS, Azure, and GCP to complement extensive hands-on experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise with certifications in Snowflake.
  • Hands-on experience with data science (AI/ML/Gen AI)
  • Hands-on experience with MDM, DQ, DG tools (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, Alteryx, Microsoft Purview, etc.)
  • Experience using R (or similar tools)
  • Valuable "Big 4" Management Consulting experience or exposure to multiple industries.
  • Undergraduate or graduate degree preferred.
