Cyber Security Engineer:
As a Cyber Security Engineer, you will be responsible for safeguarding an organization's computer networks and systems. You will utilize your expertise in cybersecurity principles, practices, and tools to protect sensitive data, prevent unauthorized access, and mitigate potential security threats. Your role will involve designing, implementing, and maintaining security measures to ensure information assets' confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Advanced certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH) are preferred.
- Conduct thorough penetration tests on the organization's network, applications, and systems.
- Identify vulnerabilities and weaknesses that attackers could exploit.
- Simulate cyber attacks to evaluate the effectiveness of the organization’s security controls.
- Utilize real-world attackers' tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
- Plan and execute red team engagements that mimic advanced persistent threats (APTs).
- Work collaboratively with blue teams (defenders) to improve detection and response capabilities.
- Document findings, including technical details and potential impacts.
- Develop and maintain custom tools and scripts for red teaming and penetration testing.
- Adapt and enhance open-source tools for specific red team requirements
- Proficiency in penetration testing tools (e.g., Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nmap).
- Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and security architectures.
- Experience with scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
