TERRITORY RESPONSIBILITY:

Western Canada – British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the direct sale of Megger products to the following served markets: Utilities, Industrial/OEM, Electrical Contractors, Services Industry, and Government
  • Extensive customer interface requires the Technical Sales Representative to reside within Alberta or British Columbia
  • Conduct product presentations and demonstrations
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the company's products and services.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to customers regarding product specifications, applications, and performance.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and sales pipeline using CRM software.
  • Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for management review.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering and product development, to address customer needs and feedback.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Skills and Competencies:

  • Education: Degree a plus, BSEE preferred
  • Experience: Requires four years minimum experience in sales to electric utilities, apparatus manufacturers and heavy industrial facilities
  • Technical background should include knowledge of transformers, circuit breakers, switchgear, power cables, motors and protective relays
  • Field testing and commissioning experience will be a plus
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively.
  • Must have excellent time and territory management skills
  • Must have excellent communication skills; written and verbal

  • Strong organizational skills

Travel Requirements:

  • Requires up to 60% travel, including customer visits, tradeshows and other events. A company vehicle will be provided
