Product Management Specialist

With 40 years of experience providing electrical reliability and safety products including power resistors, high resistance grounding systems, arc flash relays, ground fault relays and absence of voltage testers, to a wide variety of market verticals, we are now looking to add a Product Management Specialist to our team.
The primary function of the Product Management Specialist is to contribute directly to the achievement of I-Gard’s revenue growth goals through the development and execution of initiatives such as product portfolio management, market and competitive analysis, supporting product development by providing product voice of the customer specification and launch plans, updating technical literature and presentations etc.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Act as the customer facing engineer and define the market needs by providing voice of the customer to product development.
Be an expert with respect to the competition, their products, channels, key accounts and market positioning.
Develop sales and marketing material to support the products including brochures, manuals, case studies, application guides, technical editorials and webinars etc.
Train and support the sales force with respect to upcoming and existing products.
Promote the technology at relevant industry conferences and trade shows.
The Product Management Specialist's contribution to I-Gard will be measured by successful and on-time launch of new products that drive long-term growth as well as sales of new products and / or existing products through new channels or into new markets.
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline combined with training or relevant experience in product management and marketing.
The base salary for this position will be commensurate upon experience and range from $70,000 (less than 2 years experience) to $90,000 (more than 5 years experience) and the position attracts the typical benefits of full medical, dental, company matching RRSP etc.
