Required Skills & Experience:
- Experience working on data heavy projects - knowledgeable in data warehousing
- Experience working with SAP S4 and People Soft
- 10+ years of direct Project Management experience in increasing complexity and challenging projects.
- Demonstrated experience in business transformation, emphasizing streamlining processes and a proactive embrace of automation-first strategies.
- Skillful in succinctly conveying essential information to the right audience with professionalism and clarity for informed decision-making.
- Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to proactively identify problems, gather information and set and monitor a course of action.
- Diverse and creative solution orientation focusing on technical and process solutions for the financial business area.
- Strong leadership, diplomatic and motivational skills, including leading up, across and down.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Self-motivated & decisive with the ability to adapt to change and competing priorities.
- Competent and proficient understanding of various technology platforms, including ERPs like SAP and PeopleSoft.
- Proven strength in the application and interpretation of Project Management methodologies.
- Must be able and willing to learn, understand, and apply new technologies.
- Industry-recognized certification in Project Management.
- Bachelor's degree from a recognized post-secondary institution.
Job Description:
As a Senior Project Manager within the Financial Project Management Office (Finance PMO) team, your role centers on collaborative engagement with the business to drive the successful delivery of projects with measurable outcomes. Leading intricate projects incorporating technology components and business process enhancements, you will exercise project leadership to support strategic initiatives spanning various business areas and operations teams.
Your responsibilities extend beyond the conventional project management metrics of being on time, on budget, and on schedule. You are accountable for aligning projects with the desired business outcomes, ensuring they contribute meaningfully to organizational goals. This involves working closely with the business to define project outcomes, overseeing timely project completion, and implementing robust measurement mechanisms to gauge results.
Thriving in an environment of informal authority, you excel in leveraging relationships and influencing stakeholders across all organizational levels. Your adept problem-solving skills enable you to navigate conflicts, steering them toward mutually beneficial resolutions without formal escalation. Your focus is on fostering collaboration and synergy to achieve the technical success of projects and their tangible impact on the overarching business objectives.
For this role you will be the only PM helping standup a very important data heavy position. You will be working with the retail team to help develop and create automated reporting on multiple different data sets. The project has not yet begun so you will be taking the project from the very beginning through the finish line. Starting with figuring out which data sets are important and what are the best KPI's to build reports on and delivering the project to the point where it is automated through Power BI. The individual will have to understand data warehousing as well as SAP S4HANA and People Soft.
Compensation:
$75/hr to $93.50/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as short-term and long-term disability, life insurance and AD&D. Employees will also have access to a registered retirement savings account with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
