Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze current business processes to identify gaps and inefficiencies.
- Develop detailed business process diagrams and documentation, ensuring clarity and accuracy in capturing existing workflows.
- Identify and document business and functional requirements according to Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Ensure that all requirements meet information privacy and data standards.
- Assist in producing Security and Threat Risk Assessments (STRA) and Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA).
- Define functional requirements and detailed workflow specifications, including the development of specific acceptance test scripts.
- Manage the user acceptance testing process, ensuring that all test scripts are executed and that any issues are identified and resolved.
- Contribute to the development of solution architecture, conceptual data models, and solution abstracts.
- Develop deployment plans, business requirements documentation, and transition plans, ensuring all project documentation is comprehensive and up-to-date.
- Work with Commercial off-the-Shelf (COTS) vendors to discuss and document possible changes or customizations to existing solutions.
- Ensure vendor solutions align with the documented business requirements and project goals.
- Assist with project planning, including the creation of detailed project plans and timelines.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst.
- Experience producing deliverables using Microsoft office and Visio tools.
- Strong understanding of both SDLC and Agile methodologies.
- Diploma in Business Administration or Information Technology discipline in combination with a Business Analyst certification such as:
- IIBA Entry Certificate in Business Analysis (ECBA)
- Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP)
- Experience in developing process diagrams, functional requirements, and detailed workflow specifications.
- Proficiency in process modeling tools and techniques.
- Familiarity with information privacy standards and data protection regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with vendors and stakeholders.
- Experience with transportation organizations beneficial.
