Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Unit4 ERP Business Analyst with a strong background in procurement processes and practical expertise in Service Contract Act (SCA) and/or contracting practices. This individual will play a critical role in supporting a procurement unit's transition to industry best practices, focusing on solutions to streamline workflows and optimize processes.

The ideal candidate enjoys project-based work, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has hands-on experience supporting procurement functions in a service-oriented organization. This role requires a strategic thinker who can guide the procurement office toward operational excellence without an emphasis on service-related procurement background like staff aug and contracting.



Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to assess current procurement processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement solutions to align the procurement unit with industry best practices.
  • Create, refine, and maintain essential procurement artifacts, including policies, templates, workflows, and support materials.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, including federal procurement requirements, while maintaining flexibility to industry standards (limited focus on DFAR).
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to design, test, and implement Unit4 ERP system enhancements that support procurement goals.
  • Provide hands-on support and guidance for procurement staff to adopt new tools, practices, and systems effectively.
  • Analyze and document business requirements, translating them into actionable system specifications.
  • Train procurement team members on best practices, tools, and technologies to ensure long-term success.

Requirements


Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement, contract management, or ERP system implementation/optimization roles.


Skills and Expertise

  • Deep understanding of procurement best practices and how to run a procurement office effectively.
  • Practical experience with SCA and/or contracting within service-oriented industries.
  • Knowledge of federal procurement regulations is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, with a focus on procurement modules and tools.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to provide innovative and practical solutions.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a dynamic, project-based environment.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with staff augmentation and contracting processes.
  • Experience in service-based organizations rather than manufacturing/logistics-heavy environments.
