YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES AS A SENIOR SOFTWARE DEVELOPER:

  • Develop and maintain next-generation website, app, dashboard, web embeddable, and other tech tools, while also contributing to the architectural design and software development strategy.
  • Ensure tech functionality on desktops, tablets, and mobile devices, and guide the team in making informed decisions regarding software architecture and design.
  • Implement changes according to ongoing feedback, tech innovations, and user testing, focusing on scalability, performance, and maintenance of software systems.
  • Lead by example in writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code, while also conducting code reviews and providing constructive feedback.
  • Analyze user needs and business processes to create solutions and provide technical leadership in defining and implementing software development methodologies and practices.
  • Integrate insights tracking and data collection, while leading discussions and making recommendations on software development tools, technologies, and frameworks.


WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR IN A SENIOR SOFTWARE DEVELOPER:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years experience in software development; strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and one or more server-side technologies (NodeJS, Java, PHP, Python, Ruby).
  • Proven experience leading technical design decisions and architecture in a complex software environment; demonstrated expertise in Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban, and experience working in Agile teams.
  • Strong mentoring and coaching skills, with a passion for developing talent and fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Experience in steering organizations away from technical debt and implementing strategies for maintaining code quality and scalability.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a strong commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
