About The Position

We are looking for an Intermediate to Senior Software Engineer with a strong background in modern software development practices and technologies. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative, innovative environment and is eager to develop software that makes a tangible difference in our users' lives.


Qualifications

  • Educational Background: A degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field is preferred, but candidates with significant practical experience will also be considered.
  • Industry Experience: 3+ years in software development with a focus on React (TypeScript), Node.js, and DevOps practices.


Skill Requirements

  • Proficiency in React and Node.js is essential.
  • Development experience using backend services using a REST framework like Express, Hapi, Swagger etc.
  • Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform and Terraform for managing cloud-based environments and infrastructure as code.
  • Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
  • Able to write maintainable cross-platform CSS/SCSS code.
  • Solid understanding of containerization principles, with hands-on experience in Docker.
  • Experience with NoSQL databases, such as Mongo (SQL experience is an asset, but not required).
  • Familiarity with mono repos and the associated challenges/benefits.
  • Experience integrating with 3rd party platforms, such as Stripe, Twilio/SendGrid, Google Buckets, Google Maps, etc.


Bonus

  • Experience with Blockchain Technologies (e.g. Solidity, Hardhat, Infura, ethers.js) is considered a very valuable addition to the qualifications, but not required.
  • Prior work in the food delivery or e-commerce sectors.
