Successful applicants will be eligible for an annual tool allowance following one year of service. This position requires a dependable, enthusiastic organized individual capable of consistently performing to meet established standards and deadlines.Key Accountabilities:
Perform routine preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and diagnostic work on a wide range of mobile and stationary equipmentComplete repairs on all mechanical systems as required.Including, but not limited to, engines, transmissions, driveline, brake systems, hydraulic systems, etc.Participate in the GFL safety program and ensure compliance with all GFL and Fleet Maintenance safety standards, policies and proceduresEnsure repaired equipment is properly tested for correct performance and operationUtilize excellent organizational skills in order to complete accurate, legible and descriptive documentation for all completed repairsInstall or fabricate aftermarket equipment and components as assignedCommunicate effectively with Shop Foreman, Lead Hand and Parts CoordinatorRequirements:
Apprentice or Journeyman CertificateClass 5 Drivers License with a clean drivers abstract required, 1A or 3A Driver’s License would be an asset, but not requiredStrong Mechanical and troubleshooting abilities on a wide range of machinery and equipmentWe thank you for your interest.
