New Value Solutions, a national IT consulting company, is seeking a Solutions Architect to help our client with developing and implementing technical strategies, ensuring the alignment of technology solutions with business objectives, and addressing complex technical challenges.


Responsibilities:


  • As senior technical expert, assist the Enterprise Architect in creating and implementing the enterprise technical strategy.
  • Assist ARC (Architecture Review Committee) working group, project teams and committees comprised of cross functional/department specialists, information management specialists, operations staff and consultants to develop and Review Enterprise Solutions.
  • Act as a resident expert on Solutions and Enterprise Architecture, which provides senior management with strategic direction for the clients information technology road maps.
  • Collaborate with all of the clients business leaders to design Enterprise Solutions that meet their needs.
  • Ensure the appropriate technology can meet internal business demands of the clients systems, including planning of IT resources and budget requirements.
  • Assess current Enterprise systems and make recommendations and oversee the implementation during various stages of product life cycle, such as introduction of new components, growing current infrastructure, maintaining and ensuring updates, and phasing out products that are no longer needed.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance services and/or reduce operational costs, evaluating and recommending acquisition of alternate solutions and products.
  • Develop client support, hardware, software and infrastructure standards to ensure service quality and integration into the clients standards.
  • Establish and maintain change control procedures for Data Center infrastructure technology upgrades and business application software migrations to ensure a stable, reliable and secure environment is maintained throughout implementation.
  • Plan, research, and analyze Technology Solutions related to Disaster Recovery, business resumption procedures and security compliance.
  • Review and assess current infrastructure technology products and liaise with service providers to resolve issues and find solutions related to improving the current Data Center.
  • Work and collaborate with external stakeholders, including Provincial Government, Regional Health Authorities, Communities, Vendors, and Contractors.


Requirements:


  • 7+ years of experience as a Solutions Architect.
  • Subject Matter Expertise on Enterprise systems projects, infrastructure technologies, and the ability to provide advice on industry best practices by conducting internal and external research and developing knowledge related to Technologies.
  • Ability to design, develop, implement and maintain utilities and layered products designed to support systems management, security reporting, queue management, and operations.
  • Experience conducting technical quality assurance audits and post-implementation reviews for projects and maintenance of custom applications, ensuring conformity with user client needs and compatibility with the clients Enterprise Architecture standards.
  • Experience with Data Center infrastructure technology.
  • Knowledge of Disaster Recovery solutions.
  • Keep updated on new technologies by maintaining relationship with service providers as well as through market research, external studies and technology forums.
