As a Database Administrator you will be responsible for:


  • Installing, administering, and supporting enterprise database software, including maintenance, patching, upgrades, and performance tuning.
  • Monitoring database health, handle incidents like errors or slowness, and perform backup, recovery, security incident investigation, access management, auditing, and capacity planning.
  • Providing Level 2 and Level 3 support to ensure KPIs and service levels are met, addressing issues and implementing improvements.
  • Overseeing data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes, business intelligence tasks, and database reporting.
  • Maintaining efficient ETL workflows, manage data synchronization, job scheduling, and support enterprise data hub, data warehouse, and data platforms.
  • Handling the installation, administration, and support of the enterprise integration platform.
  • Ensuring performance optimization, uptime, and security, supporting both on-premise and cloud environments.
  • Collaborating with teams to optimize integration workflows and automate API deployment.
  • Working with other teams to develop strategies, roadmaps, and standards for the Data Services platform.
  • Providing technical guidance on technology trends, standards, performance optimization, security, and operational efficiency.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (such as Business or Computer Science) from an accredited institution, or a combination of education and equivalent professional experience.
  • Proficient in designing, administering, and supporting relational databases like Oracle and MS-SQL, with practical experience in open-source options like PostgreSQL and MongoDB. Advanced skills in SQL and procedural languages (e.g., PL/SQL, T-SQL).
  • Hands-on experience with ETL tools such as Business Objects and Microsoft SSIS, along with a strong understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling. Familiarity with Azure DataBricks, Data Factory, and Synapse is a plus.
  • Knowledgeable in integration platforms and technologies for applications and data services, with practical experience in API architecture, services, and platforms (e.g., Mulesoft, Azure, Informatica) being beneficial.
