They build both low-rise and high-rise construction projects, creating admirable living spaces for the population in their respective areas.
Your new role
The open role is for a Site Superintendent to join their high-rise development team and work on projects in London, Ontario. They will report to the Director of Construction while leading the supervision of trade activities, project/progress reports, resolving any design issues and producing site reports. They will ensure construction quality in accordance to company standards and make sure that trades and staff work in compliance with the Health and Safety Policy established by our client. They will meet regularly with the Director of Construction and Project Manager to report on progress and receive any direction and will attend site construction meetings, reviewing schedules/activities, ensuring accurate and current resource information is being disseminated. They will be responsible for all field documentation and provide training and development needed for labourers.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful Superintendent - High Rise will have a minimum of 8 years leading high rise construction projects in Ontario. They will have post-secondary education (diploma or degree) in building technology or a related field. They will be Gold Seal Certified and have all required First Aid and CSAO Health and Safety training. They will have the ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including management and site personnel/trades. The Site Superintendent will have a thorough understanding of construction methods, scheduling and blueprint reading. They will be highly organized, have strong interpersonal skills and be able to work in a dynamic environment. Finally, they will thoroughly understand the Ontario Building code, be capable of performing layouts and be proficient with site software including Microsoft applications.
