Our client, a very well-known insurance industry client looking to hire a Seasoned Enterprise Architect.


Your New Role:

The Application Portfolio Management (APM) Transformation Initiative intends to evolve the APM practice from data collection to insight generation by re-engineering its operating model (people, processes, information and tools) in alignment with other related IIT Branch organizational changes such as Compliance with the Policy on Service and Digital, the Technical Remediation and Stabilization Initiative and the Departmental ITSM Tool Implementation. APM has developed a Strategic Plan and a multi-year roadmap to realize the vision and strategic goals set out in the plan.

End client requires the services of an Enterprise Architect to work with the project team on the APM+ Transformation Initiative.


  • Eevaluate client's enterprise's business/Information and Communications Technology (ICT) architecture,
  • rmine its consistency and seamless Integration with business/ICT strategies, assess the degree of its alignment with Treasury Board Chief Information Officer (CIO) programs and directives and recommend changes to the business/ IM/IT requirements against the current enterprise architecture to improve its alignment with these external factors;
  • identify future business / IM/IT requirements against the current enterprise architecture, perform gaps analyses, develop requirements for technology architectures (RTA), and prepare Migration strategies;
  • assess the feasibility of migrating from the current state to the target business architecture and enabling technologies and identify the risks associated with migrating to the target business architecture and technologies and make recommendations for risk mitigation;
  • identify business and technology trends that create opportunities for business improvement, advise business and IM/IT Senior Executive Management on IM/IT trends and Emerging Technologies and the impact on the and Government IM/IT architectures and business strategies, model "what if" scenarios and recommend appropriate changes to the existing architecture and IM/IT infrastructure and recommend alternative Solutions, methodologies, and strategies;
  • produce an architecture evolution plan, recommend prioritization of architecture evolution initiatives, and implement the architecture evolution plan;
  • manage the development and implementation of an architectural improvement plan; and
  • coach, mentor, train and work with staff to perform any of the above and enable knowledge transfer.


What You’ll Need:

  • Extensive experience of 10+ yrs as Enterprise Architect

Certifications - Zachman Enterprise Architect Certification

• Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) 9 Certification

• Open Group Certified Architect (CA)

• CISSP Information Systems Security Architecture Professional (CISSP-ISSAP)

• Professional Cloud Solutions Architect Certification

  • Must have valid Reliability or higher clearance
