Senior Machine Learning Engineer | 6-month contract with chance to extend | On-site, Toronto | Python, LLM, PyTorch, TensorFlow


I am looking for a talented Machine Learning Engineer to join my client’s dynamic team on a 6-month contract basis. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative projects and work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities:


  • Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and formulate machine learning solutions.
  • Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and accuracy.
  • Analyze large datasets to extract meaningful insights and drive informed decision-making.
  • Evaluate and implement state-of-the-art machine learning techniques and algorithms.
  • Optimize, train & fine-tune existing models for improved performance.
  • Collaborate with the broader engineering team to integrate machine learning solutions into production systems.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience working as a Machine Learning Engineer or similar role.
  • Strong programming skills in Python
  • Hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
  • Experience designing + developing LLMs
  • Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and statistical concepts.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
