Our client works with power electronics, magnetic bearings, and oil-free centrifugal chillers at their Dorval office. Our client is seeking to hire a Quality Engineer (mechanical engineer).


The Quality Engineer is responsible for analyzing failure data and collaborates to develop successful fixes and to change practices where necessary to ensure that standards are maintained.


The position offers growth prospects, 100% insurance coverage, 6% RRSP matching, and 3+ weeks of vacation.


Key Requirements:

  • Strong English with functional French
  • 4+ years’ of quality systems experience working in manufacturing
  • General technical knowledge of HVAC equipment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or any other relevant education
  • Working on the production floor and often dealing with project managers
  • Processes and audits


Some Key Tasks:

  • Use of QA methodologies (8D, Fishbone, 5 Why’s, etc.) to manage and facilitate issue resolution including root cause investigations and the development, implementation, and monitoring of effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Perform statistical analysis to improve the dependability or reliability of a product or process to prevent or reduce the likelihood or frequency of failures.
  • Handle customer/supplier communications (complaints, rating, product quality concerns) and ensure compliance of process specifications to customer requirements.
  • Improve and disseminate indicators relating to quality (design, product, customer complaints, problems, and corrective actions through various weekly, monthly, bi-annual and annual reports.)
  • Analyze and review design control and risk management documentation for compliance to QMS and standards.
